Global Refugee Sponsorship Initiative (GRSI) – learning through monitoring and evaluation
What are our monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) objectives?
To optimise our own efforts, the GRSI partners have embarked on a three-year journey to explore, in a structured and purposeful way, how and why the sponsorship ecosystem works for refugees and communities alike. We have set up an internal Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Working Group, and our hope is that the learning will benefit the ever-expanding community of stakeholders in the global sponsorship movement. We are focused on collating, and in some areas commissioning, a solid and accessible evidence-base to inform program advocacy, design, delivery, and expansion.
What is the program of work?
The MEL project includes work to gather data, identify best practices, and address gaps in knowledge. We know that we are not starting from scratch, given the already rich body of research and evaluation out there.
This MEL initiative is squarely focused on the needs and interests of GRSI partners and their stakeholders to help them refine efforts in standing up and expanding programs by mobilizing the compassion that exists in communities around the world. We will share accessible versions of these inventories in due course.
